The Netflix ad-supported plan launches today for $7 a month. Unfortunately, it caps playback at 720p and doesn’t let you stream certain shows or movies.

And as 9to5Mac notes, you can’t stream a Netflix with Ads membership on an Apple TV box. At least, not yet.

While Netflix with Ads won’t pester you too much (it promises four minutes of ads per hour of streaming), it caps resolution at 720p and offers a limited number of shows and movies.
